Super Smash Keyboards 3 (大乱闘スマッシュキーボード3 Dairantō Sumasshu Kībōdo San) is a fighting game released in arcades in October 1997 then to PlayStation, Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn, and Microsoft Windows in December 1997. It is the third installment in the Super Smash Keyboards series of fighting games.

Super Smash Keyboards 3 carries the same mechanic as the previous two games. Super Smash Keyboards 3 introduced two new mechanics that were not present in the past two games. The first was a weapon system, where random weapons would fall onto the stage that players can pick up to use (the attack button is used to pick up items and throw them). The other was "Maximum Damage", which players are scored double the amount of damage dealt when scoring 10 combos (multiplied by 100). For example, scoring a Maximum Damage that dealt 45 damage would yield 9,000 points to the score.

In the intro, Konata tells the story on how she fought King Empty Jay and banished him into the Netherrealm. Konata decides to fight in The Ultimate Keyboard Smash tournament again and says that it can only be won by drillers.

Super Smash Keyboards 3 was originally going to be the second game in the Crystal Island series of fighting games, but during a meeting one night at Drillimation Studios, they said that "what would happen if we could put everybody's favorite Drillimation characters into Crystal Island 2?" As a result, the team decided to change the original game's name from Crystal Island 2 to Super Smash Keyboards 3.
